His beloved Yankees had just won the first Subway Series played against the Brooklyn Dodgers. On October 15, 1941, legendary saloonkeeper Toots Shor sent this letter to Dick Hyman, longtime publicity director at the King Features division of Hearst Corporation, to thank him for the mention in a story about Lou Gehrig.

Offering the authentic, original vintage letter on restaurant stationery, signed by Toots, and framed for posterity.
